England can take another major step towards booking their place at Euro 2020 next summer with a win over Kosovo at St Mary’s on Tuesday night.

Gareth Southgate’s side are coming off the back of a convincing 4-0 win over Bulgaria at Wembley on Saturday and are the big favourites against the second-placed side in Group A.

It is England’s fourth game of Euro 2020 qualifying and they have already netted 14 times in just three matches, having secured previous wins over Czech Republic and Montenegro.

The Three Lions are not expected to struggle against the 120th ranked side in the world, but they would do well to recall the last time they faced a lowly opposition at St Mary’s.

Back in October 2002, England were held to an embarrassing 2-2 draw by Macedonia and were thankful for spectacular efforts from David Beckham and Steven Gerrard to spare their blushes.

However, England have a formidable record in qualifying for major tournaments over the past decade – they are unbeaten in their last 41 games since losing 1-0 to Ukraine in 2009.

It is the longest unbeaten run in qualifiers among the European sides, with Spain next on 24 matches without defeat.

You can listen to the game LIVE on talkSPORT, with our coverage from St Mary’s starting at 7pm.

Southgate has made several changes for the match tonight with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ben Chilwell and Jadon Sancho all starting.

Harry Kane remains up front, while Jordan Pickford, Harry Maguire and Michael Keane start and Ross Barkley keeps his place in midfield.
