Ant McPartlin and his estranged wife Lisa Armstrong have had yet another furious spat – this time over access to their former shared home.
The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host and his ex have been locked in an increasingly acrimonious divorce ever since news of his relationship with PA-turned-girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett went public.
But while the warring pair have been granted their degree nisi – the next stage of their divorce – bitter talks are still ongoing about how to split the finances, and how much of Ant’s estimated £60million fortune Lisa should be handed.
As the Mirror exclusively reveals today, Ant and Lisa’s marital breakdown has even spilled out of the lawyers’ offices and into the street, as Lisa barred Ant from entering the West London mansion he used to live in.
Ant moved out of the plush Chiswick pad before going into rehab in July 2017, although the couple kept their relationship problems out of the public eye and Ant even thanked Lisa for standing by him as he battled prescription drug addiction.
But he’s been keeping a number of his possessions at the luxe property, despite moving several miles down the road to Wimbledon with new love Anne-Marie.
With the exes communicating only via their legal teams, Lisa was shocked when Ant turned up in person to collect his stuff – and refused to let him in the house as he kept ringing the intercom.
Although Ant’s team insist Lisa was aware her ex was coming to his old home, her pals say she had no idea why he couldn’t have sent his assistant or another member of his entourage to pick up his belongings.
A source close to Ant told us: “Ant has a right to collect his possessions he left in the house two years ago.
“The last time he was in the house was July, two years ago – before he went into rehab the first time. He just wants to collect his belongings at the agreed time.
“It’s all pretty tiring now – he just wants to move on with his life.”
The source added: “It’s obviously a very sensitive situation so Ant knows he has to do everything by the book. So it’s disappointing she wouldn’t let him in, despite this all being prearranged. It’s sad it’s come to this, really.”
It’s the latest in a long line of disputes after Ant and Lisa’s formerly happy life came crashing down around them.
Their 21-year relationship ended in late 2017, after Ant’s rehab stint – and by June of 2018, he was happily parading his new relationship with Anne-Marie.
The news came as a devastating blow to Lisa, who had counted Anne-Marie as a close friend as well as an employee.
Anne-Marie – who was also previously married – had even arranged Ant and Lisa’s 10-year anniversary party to celebrate their marriage milestone in 2016, inviting the couple’s friends and family to join them for a lavish bash in Portugal.
Meanwhile, Ant and Lisa haven’t actually spoken to each other personally since a furious phone call conversation shortly before his drink-drive crash last March.
The exes have handed over all discussions to their lawyers as every time they spoke, it would end up in a furious row.
