Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan has announced the death of his daughter.

“It is with a broken heart, and from a place of the deepest pain, that I have to inform all of you that my youngest daughter, Gabrielle, passed away … May 18, 2019. She was 22 years old,” Crahan, 49, wrote in a statement posted Sunday across the heavy metal band’s social media accounts

He continued: “My family and I ask that our privacy be respected moving forward.”

Gabrielle is Crahan’s youngest daughter with wife Chantel. Her cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet, but “funeral arrangements will be forthcoming,” the statement added.

Corey Taylor, the group’s lead singer, offered his condolences.

“My heart has broken for my brother,” he tweeted. “Please keep the Crahan family in your thoughts and love. She will be missed.”

In September, Crahan paid tribute to his daughter on her birthday by sharing a throwback picture of a young Gabrielle. He wrote: “We love you Gabri.”

Crahan has three other children: daughter Alexandria and sons Gage and Simon.
